Bedford’s Corn Exchange has proven to be an excellent venue for the Live and Unsigned music competition and unsigned musicians enjoy the opportunity to perform in one of Bedford’s best live music venues.  

THE CORN EXCHANGE, BEDFORD’S LIVE MUSIC VENUE 

Situated in the centre of this historic city, The Corn Exchange was built in 1849 and still comprises most of its original architecture and historic grandeur fused nicely with its modern facilities. It is a very popular live music venue for the public in and around Bedford; a city easy to reach from both the Midlands and North London.

Captain Glen Miller and his American Band of the Supreme Allied Command gave their first broadcasting in the UK in 1944, and the Corn Exchange was also home to the BBC Symphony Orchestra for over 5 years. The main theatre can facilitate up to 800 audience members and has been graced with performances from: Elkie Brookes, Badly Drawn Boy, Goldie Looking Chain, The Animals and Marty Wilde.
