Sheffield City Hall is an iconic grade II listed building and the city’s premier concert venue attracting some of the biggest names in music and comedy to the region and hosting over 500 events a year.

Built in 1932, Sheffield City Hall has an extensive legacy where entertainment, and in particular music, is concerned, with many musical legends having graced the stage over the years including the likes of Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles.

In a city which has a world renowned reputation for unearthing burgeoning musical talent many local artists and bands see performing at City Hall as a testament to their success, Alex Turner being the most recent to comment on this when he played with The Last Shadow Puppets last year

Sheffield City Hall welcomes the Live and Unsigned music competition through its doors, giving groups and solo artists the chance to audition. This is your chance to perform in the battle of the bands competition live onstage at one of the UK's best live music venues. The Live and Unsigned music competition has music industry judges attend every stage from auditions to the National Final. Judges from National Radio 1, Kerrang, NME, BBC Introducing, Regional Press & record labels. Impress at the Sheffield auditions, and you could be on your way to the Regional Final Showcase!
