Situated in the centre of this historic city, The Corn Exchange was built in 1849 and still comprises most of it original architecture and historic grandeur fused nicely with its modern facilities. It is a very popular venue for the public in and around Bedford; a city easy to reach from both the Midlands and North London.
Captain Glen Miller and his American Band of the Supreme Allied Command gave their first broadcasting in the UK in 1944, and the Corn Exchange was also home to the BBC Symphony Orchestra for over 5 years. The main theatre can facilitate up to 800 audience members and has been graced with performances from: Elkie Brookes, Badly Drawn Boy, Goldie Looking Chain, The Animals and Marty Wilde.
