Win Festival Slots at Guernsey Festival 2012!
Want to play at Guernsey Festival? Win a festival slot at Guernsey Festival 2012 with Live and Unsigned! The Guernsey Festival has teamed up with Live and Unsigned to give one unsigned band or act from the Grand Final the chance to win a festival slot at Guernsey 2012 as part of the Live & Unsigned 2012 competition!
Situated on farmland known locally as ‘the Rabbit Warren’ in the parish of St Sampson on the Channel Island of Guernsey, the Guernsey Festival will take place on 23rd and 24th June. Its debut event last year under the name The Guernsey Festival of Performing Arts was a huge success, which was later shortlisted in the Best New Festival category by the UK Festival Awards. This year’s festival promises to be even bigger and better.
Guernsey Festival 2012
After welcoming the likes of Ocean Colour Scene, Primal Scream and Example under the name The Guernsey Festival of Performing Arts last year, Guernsey Festival is now the biggest festival in Guernsey. Therefore it should come as no surprise that organisers receive thousands of requests from unsigned acts from around the region and across the UK applying to play at the festival, but there just aren’t enough spaces to go around! So for the 2012 festival, Guernsey is going to choose one Live and Unsigned act to play their festival. The lucky act will be chosen from the Grand Finalists.
A spokesman for Guernsey Festival said; “Guernsey Festival is making many exciting additions to the scheduling this year and the inclusion of Live and Unsigned is one of those. It will be great to host a grand finalist from a national competition, judged by industry professionals, at our second festival.”
