Win festival slots at Swedish festival Peace & Love Festival with Live and Unsigned! The Swedish festival has teamed up with Live and Unsigned to send one lucky act to Sweden to play at the illustrious event.

 Peace & Love festival is described as the biggest Swedish festival going and takes place between the 26th and 30th June 2012. The Swedish festival aims to create something different than 'yet another Pop/Rock festival', and uses the artists they book as a great tool to gather as many people as possible and deliver a message to the best of their ability to as many of those people as they can. In previous years Peace & Love festival has had acts such as Skrillex, Enter Shikari, Dropkick Murphys, Arch Enemy and many more perform.

The biggest Swedish festival, Peace & Love festival, wants to contribute to a better world by conveying messages of sustainable development. The Peace & Love festival saw an excess of 50,000 visitors, 6000 volunteers and 800 accredited journalists attend the festival 2011.

SWEDISH FESTIVAL – Peace & Love Festival 2012!

Every year at the Swedish festival there’s a new theme that pervades all activities held both during the festival and throughout the year. For 2012, the festival’s theme is A New World.

Though only a Swedish festival at the moment, Peace & Love festival's primary aim is to create an annual event like the well-established one in Borlänge, Sweden, in other countries around the world. Peace & Love is now well established in Austin, Texas during SXSW and will be hosting events there in 2012, making it the fourth consecutive year. Peace & Love will hold its second festival in Havana, Cuba, in 2012, and they have great hopes to hold an event in New York in the summer of 2012. Meaning that impressing the organisers at the Swedish festival could mean BIG THINGS for the future...

The Swedish festival prize will be awarded to one of the grand finalists before the grand final takes place, meaning when they return they will have two weeks to practice to compete for some life changing prizes at the Grand Final at The O2, London. So far the winner of Live and Unsigned 2012 is confirmed to play Glass Butter Beach, Bingley Music Live, Norfolk Spectacular, Boardmasters, Strawberry Fields Festival, Brownstock,ButserFest, Just So Festival, London Summer Jam and Lancaster Music Festival. Yes you counted right, that makes 10 UK Festivals SO FAR! Add that to the £10,000 cash prize and this is going to be the most unforgettable summer of the 2012 champion's life!

Live & Unsigned is the biggest unsigned music competition for original unsigned bands and artists in the UK. It offers the finalists the chance to play at The O2 in London alongside some of the UK's best musicians at Live Fest, London’s biggest indoor festival. There’s also £100,000 worth of prizes to be won, including an additional new main cash prize of £10,000 for the winning act to spend on development.

Auditions began in January 2012 and all acts in the competition are auditioned live. Acts that make it through the audition stage will get to perform to industry judges, A & R associates and celebrity guests. Judging last year’s competition and hopefully set to join the panel again in 2012 include; Radio 1 DJs Annie Nightingale, Ras Kwame, Tom Deacon and Daniel P Carter; Kerrang’s Alex Baker; and Happy Mondays star Bez.
