Live and Unsigned winners The Trinity Band have been nominated for another national Best Unsigned Act award.
The Derby five-piece were confirmed as Live and Unsigned winners at London’s O2 in July and it’s been a rollercoaster ride ever since. The Urban Pop band has now been shortlisted for the Dery Entertainments Annual Fundraising Awards Best Unsigned Act award.
Nominated acts for other awards include Jessie J, Wretch 32 and Will Young who are up for Artist of the Year. While Example, Ed Sheeran and Sneakbo are shortlisted for Best Upcoming Artist.
The Trinity Band play Norfolk Spectacular and Sound Academy in Toronto
News of the nomination comes just as The Trinity Band jet off to play at Sound Academy Festival in Toronto, Canada. The band is delighted to get another nod, ‘it feels amazing totally honoured and humbled, it's great to have been nominated and recognised for our skills. The year just seems to be getting better and better.’
The Trinity Band also recently played on the main stage at Norfolk Spectacular amongst some of the biggest names in music, ‘We aint had a moment to breathe between main stage shows alongside Chipmunk, Chase & Status and Alexandra Burke. It’s hard work but we’re loving it.’
The Dery Entertainments Annual Fundraising Awards
People can vote for The Trinity Band to win the Dery Entertainments Annual Fundraising Best Unsigned Act prize by texting ‘474479 + THE TRINITY BAND’ to the number 22333. The awards ceremony is at the London Troxy on December 17th.
Taking the award would end a perfect year for The Trinity Band ‘It would be the icing on the cake for 2011. We have worked very hard for the last year and a half to get to this position but it’s only the beginning of our journey. Thanks to everyone who has supported and helped us along the way.’
As well as a number of high profile gigs The Trinity Band are currently working in the studio ahead of the release of their first single. The Derby lads are set to team up with top producer DaVincHE, who’s worked on smash hits for the likes of Tinie Tempah, Tinchy Stryder and Wretch 32.
