Festival Gigs – Butserfest

Festival gigs at Butserfest have been won byLive and Unsigned acts this summer, after the musiccompetition teamed up with the festival for a new partnership. Butserfest and Live and Unsigned have offered festival support slots to lucky winners, who were chosen from the Live and UnsignedSouth England Area Finals this weekend.

Live and Unsigned contestants to get gigs at Butserfest were chosen by organiser Lucy Soal. The lucky winners who will play gigs at the festival are rock act The Fringe along with The Dirty Tricks and This Way Up who will join a plethora of artists in the Queen Elizabeth Country Park in Hampshire on Saturday 17thSeptember. All three acts will be taking to the stage to wow the audiences of Hampshire alongside the full line-up for Butserfest 2011.

Hampshire Festival

The Hampshire festival, aimed at 14-20 year olds, takes place on 17thSeptember 2011 at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield. As well as music, festival goers can expect outdoor entertainment including bungee runs, laser quest, an open mic stage, a climbing wall, stalls and an inflatable table football. Previous acts that have performed on Butser Hill include the delights of YOUNG GUNS, KING BLUES, YOU ME AT SIX, MY PASSION, DEAF HAVANA andATTACK! ATTACK! who haveall rocked the main stage in past years.

Over 10,000 bands and acts entered the Live and Unsigned music competition back in January 2011 and battled through auditions to the Live Regional Finals, with the best talent making it through to Area Finals, and now acts are preparing for the National Grand final, which is part of Live Fest London’s largest indoor festival, which takes place on the 23rdJuly at The London O2.
