Festival support slots at Z-Fest

Festival support slots at Z-Fest have been won by Live and Unsigned acts this summer, after the music competition teamed up with the festival for a new partnership. The festival and Live and Unsigned have offered festival support slots to lucky winners, who were chosen from the Live and Unsigned Area Finals in the London & South West area.

Live and Unsigned contestants who have been chosen by organiser of Z-Fest, James Holliday to play at the festival support slots are urban solo artist Poetic Justin and acoustic duo Tom Bailey and Joe Housley, who will join a plethora of new artists in London from the 27th-29th May at the Zenith in North London. Both acts will take to the stage on Sunday 29th to wow the audiences of Islington by playing alongside the likes of Away With The Faeries, Jess and the Band and Stax Dempsey.

At Z-Fest, all genres of music are covered from hip hop to rock, pop to electro and metal. The first Z-Fest brings together 40 handpicked bands, artists, collaborators from the cusp of London's unsigned music scene for three days and nights of what should be the finest selection of live music this side of the hemisphere. Z-Fest has every genre covered so there is something for absolutely everyone.

All three days and nights are completely free entry and a portion of the proceeds will go towards supporting local and national charities. So not only will the Live and Unsigned acts be supporting live music, they will also be playing for a good cause.

Over 10,000 bands and acts entered the Live and Unsigned music competition back in January 2011 and battled through auditions to the Live Regional Finals, with the best talent making it through to Area Finals, and now acts are preparing for the National Grand final, which is part of Live Fest London’s largest indoor festival, which takes place on the 23rd July at the London O2.
