Live and Unsigned competition for musicians announces master class with Tolis Zavaliaris
Live and Unsigned music competition in conjunction with sponsor the Institute, is offering free places to all Regional and Area finalists for a Master Class with improvisation guru Tolis Zavaliaris and his band on 10th May 2011.
Focusing on songs from both of his albums, Tolis will demonstrate the techniques of improvisation, odd time signatures, song writing and fretless guitar playing making this master class a great session, which is not to be missed.
Tolis has developed a unique music style incorporating jazz, rock, ethnic and orchestral elements in his compositions, in conjunction with sounds and rhythms borrowed from East European countries and Greek traditional music.
Alongside Tolis will be his band whose members include Phil Mann on bass, Hamish Balfour on piano and Babis Margaritidis on drums and percussion.
