UK’s Biggest Battle Of The Bands And Acts Competition In Plymouth - Results

The UK’s biggest battle of the bands and acts competition took place in Plymouth at the Guildhall this weekend, as the Live and Unsigned Regional Final rolled into town.

The Regional Final brought together the best unsigned acts from Devon, Cornwall and beyond, in a bid to make it to the Area Final. Acts are now just one step away from playing the National Grand Final at Live Fest in the O2, London.

The headline act taking to the stage alongside Live and Unsigned Regional Finalists in Edinburgh were Sandfire Siren who rocked the guildhall and entertained the masses! Sandfire Siren were grand finalists at last year’s Live and Unsigned Competition and returned to support this year’s contestants and play some quality tunes. Since getting to the O2 in London, they have gone on to record their own material and pick up a loyal fanbase along the way.

Judges presiding over the Plymouth Regional Final included Stuart Slater Rock School examiner and owner of Slater Drum School, Michael Whiddon of the Plymothian Magazine, Ade Atkinson Organiser of IVYLIVE Festival, Louise Martin of Little Miss Music Management, Drew Preston from Newquay Voice and Igloo Music’s Dielle Lodrick.

With so much talent, it was difficult for the judges to make a decision and the successful acts that are through to the Area Final are listed below. Congratulations to those that made it through to the Southern England Area Final on Saturday 21st May 2011 at the Portsmouth Guildhall!
