UK’s Biggest Battle Of The Bands And Acts Competition In Manchester - Results

The UK’s biggest battle of the bands and acts competition took place in Manchester at Salford’s Willows this weekend, as the Live and Unsigned Regional Final rolled into town.

The Regional Final brought together the best unsigned acts from Lancashire, Liverpool and beyond, in a bid to make it to the Area Final. Acts are now just one step away from playing the National Grand Final at Live Fest in the O2, London.

The headline act taking to the stage alongside Live and Unsigned Regional Finalists in Manchester was acoustic singing sensation Myke Black, who is fresh from supporting acts such as KT Tunstall, Sandi Thom and The Animals. Myke is currently touring with his latest album Nice Little Earner and took the Manchester audience by storm with his honest lyrics and upbeat tunes!

Judges presiding over the Manchester Regional Final included BBC Radio Six DJ Jo Good, Professional singer Bob Young, Phillip Witham promoter of liverpoolclubbing.com,  Chris Grayston of Future Music Management  and Ben Price from High Peak Radio. The competition was fierce, and the standard was extremely high, well done to all the acts for putting on a great show!

With so much talent, it was difficult for the judges to make a decision and the successful acts that are through to the Area Final are listed below. Congratulations to those that made it through to the North West Area Final on Sunday 8th May 2011 at the Willows, Manchester !
