UK’s Biggest Battle Of The Bands And Acts Competition In Essex - Results

The UK’s biggest battle of the bands and acts competition took place in Essex at Basildon’s Towngate Theatre this weekend, as the Live and Unsigned Regional Final rolled into town.

The Regional Final brought together the best unsigned acts from Essex, London and beyond, in a bid to make it to the Area Final. Acts are now just one step away from playing the National Grand Final at Live Fest in the O2, London.

Headline acts taking to the stage alongside Live and Unsigned Regional Finalists in Basildon included urban sensation FDot1, the Hunterz and Indie anthem-makers Missing Andy who took the Basildon audience by storm.

Judges presiding over the Basildon Regional Final included Radio One’s Ras Kwame, vocal tutor Candy Ma, music journalist for the Telegraph and prolific blogger Cat Dal, Jordan Parr from BGM, Chris Grayston from Future Music Management  and Ben Price from High Peak Radio. The competition was fierce, and the standard was extremely high, well done to all the acts for putting on a great show!

With so much talent, it was difficult for the judges to make a decision and the successful acts that are through to the Area Final are listed below. Congratulations to those that made it through to the Area Final on Sunday 15th May 2011 at the Towngate Theatre, Basildon!
