Live and Unsigned Partner With Stereoboard.com

Known for supporting fresh, under the radar music in the UK, National music competition Live and Unsigned has teamed up with Stereoboard.com for its 2011 competition.

Live and Unsigned, which travels across the UK with live auditions and shows, is dedicated to developing unsigned music and unearthing emerging talent - no matter what the genre. And Stereoboard.com shares the same vision.

Established in 2002, Stereoboard.com specialises in the live music scene, offering daily tour announcements, gig news and an industry recognised safe ticket comparison engine. The incredibly popular ticket comparison helps music fans to locate tickets for over 28,000 gigs and events from trusted sellers and official outlets. The site also offers a mouth-watering amount of unique quality content, including interviews, reviews, features and of course, music news. And this year, they will be featuring news and interviews with some of the country's most promising acts that take part in Live and Unsigned.

Stereoboard.com Managing Director Nigel Sachdev said, "We are very excited to be partnering with Live & Unsigned for the 2011 competition. We share the same vision and objectives to help unearth unsigned artists and the Stereoboard team are looking forward to seeing some fantastic emerging bands live at the shows next year. Hopefully we can help promote a few of them on their own UK tours too!"

With over £100, 000 in prizes and the chance to play at the 02 in London, Live and Unsigned is set to attract thousands of unsigned musicians when auditions across the UK begin in January. Each year the competition prize pool gets bigger and better as acts take to the stage and battle it out for equipment, festival slots, clothing, studio time and master classes. Competing acts will also have the chance to play at a leading music venue in Dublin as well as playing at Tour Music Fest in Rome's Piper Club where artists like David Bowie, the Beatles and Pink Floyd have all performed. I Rock, Asia's biggest Rock festival, will be awarding an act with a slot on their main stage and entrants will also have the opportunity to play in Australia at The National Theatre, Melbourne and perform in the US - a once in a lifetime opportunity for any aspiring musician.

Over 10, 000 acts entered the competition last year and the Grand Final saw the cream of the UK's unsigned talent showcase their music in front of thousands of audience members and the judging panel which included Slade's legendary front man Noddy Holder, Radio 1's Annie Nightingale, Kerrang's Alex Baker and RnB star Shola Ama. Judges set to join the panel in 2011 include Kerrang's Danielle Perry, NME's Iain Baker, Radio 1's Tom Deacon, Heat Magazine's Lucie Cave Happy Mondays star Bez and Nigel Clarke from 90's Brit pop band Dodgy.
