Live and Unsigned Showcase

The Live and Unsigned 2010 showcase has just been confirmed, with some of the best unsigned musicians from across the country getting set to take to the stage at Monto Water Rats on Wednesday 8th December.

They'll be showcasing their original material to a live audience including representatives from the music industry, record labels, talent scouts, A&R and the media!

The last Live and Unsigned showcase had accepted invites from three of the big four majors with representatives from EMI, Universal and Virgin (Head of Virgin!!) plus MTV representatives to show the winners off with the potential to getting them deals. The Isle of Wight Festival organisers have already confirmed to attend this years event.

With over 10, 000 acts entering the competition last year, the Live and Unsigned 2010 live shows saw the cream of the UK's unsigned talent perform in some of the best venues in the country - with the Grand Finalists playing at the 02 in London.

And now acts performing at the showcase will be playing on the main stage at The Monto, a high profile music venue in Kings Cross, London. The venue has previously played host to mega stars including Bob Dylan, Oasis and Katy Perry.

As part of the continued development policy at Live and Unsigned, the aim of the night is to showcase fresh, under the radar artists to the industry and to further develop the acts music and fan base.

The showcase event is on Wednesday 8th December. Doors open at 7.30pm. Early bird tickets cost £5 and can be purchased on the door or on the venue website www.themonto.com
