Kerrang's Christian Stevenson confirms as a judge for Live and Unsigned 2010!
Popular radio regular Christian Stevenson has just confirmed his place on the L&U panel for 2010! Christian’s most known for his presenting on Kerrang Radio and will be joining a host of other music industry insiders at the Live and Unsigned Live shows.
Christian, who has an extensive background in broadcast and directing, currently hosts an evening show on Kerrang and heads up the weekend programme Deep Cuts. Born and raised in Washington D.C Christian’s broadcasting background is varied - from radio presenting to film making, Christian has done it all. He began his career when he left University and became a radio DJ on a politics show. Infuenced by his natural love for sports, Christian then went on to make skiing holiday videos for tourists and eventually went on to record a series of snowboarding films. Based in Colorado, Christian set up his own production company and went to work producing videos. It was after this that he began to work with established artists such as Jamiroquai, Reef and A – he even taught Jamiroquai how to ski!
Christian’s experience also includes a presenting credit on the 2005 BAFTA winning Five show RAD, where he was also nominated for a BAFTA in the Children’s Presenting category. He has also worked alongside pop sensation Kylie Minogue when they co-hosted popular programme Snowball.
Chris Grayston, head of A&R at Future Music Management commented, “We have a lot of rock and heavy metal acts that enter the competition so with the introduction of Christian this will add greater depth to our Judge panel in the genre. His wealth of experience in broadcast and music means Christian’s eye for fresh, unique sounds will be a fantastic addition to the panel! And of course his work at Kerrang provides plenty of opportunities for bands to expose their music.”
