Live and Unsigned Prize Pool Reaches Over £100,000

There are some fantastic prizes en route throughout Live and Unsigned 2010, and not just for the winner! Acts will be rewarded for their hard work and dedication with an array of prizes which include festival slots, clothing, studio time, equipment, day trips, master classes and much more! Take a look at what’s on offer in this years prize pool...

 

Overall winner

• Management and recording contract with Future Music Management

• Initial winners £15,000 publicity package (publications depending on the winner) including pages in Kerrang, Q Magazine, NME, The Fly, Acoustic magazine, Guitar Buyer, Who’s Jack, Rewind Magazine, Mojo Magazine, Flavour Magazine, Drummer Magazine and Bass Guitar Magazine.

• Development of a clothing brand and sponsorship courtesy of Extreme State. Working with Extreme State’s Creative Director and business team, the winner will work on visuals and graphics that embody their image and they’ll get to design a clothing collection to be sold on their website, at gigs and in retail.

• Top of the range Marshall JVM 410 Half Stack worth £1, 500 (Depending on genre of overall winner)

• Further £15,000 minimum for single release package including; Studio time for single release and promotional campaign.

• UK tour of up to 100 shows including covering expenses up to £7,500 (Depending on genre of overall winner)

• Tour Music Festival – all expenses paid trip to Italy to perform in the festival. Including return flights and accommodation.

• A comprehensive consultation package (implementation where applicable) including– social marketing, image, brand.

• Feature in Who’s Jack Magazine (Front page depending on genre of overall winner) • Page editorial feature in the O2’s venue Magazine distributed to 200,000 O2 attendee’s

• Coverage on leading music websites and blogs including homepage of L&U website and Subba Cultcha, Woho, Flavour and Who’s Jack.

 

Category Genre Winners

For the Grand Final, acts will be placed in four genre categories; Rock, Pop/ Acoustic, Indie and Urban. Acts competing in each category at the Grand Final will have the opportunity to walk away with some top awards including;

Rock

• Rockstar Energy Drink will be giving one band from the rock category a slot on their UK roster which includes coverage on their website, a blog on the Rockstar website to blog from the road, entrance into Rockstar events (subject to availability), apparel including t-shirts, sweatbands, hats, accessories and stickers and a years supply of Rockstar Energy Drink to keep them energised on tour.

• Hellfire Festival will award the winner of the Rock category a slot on the main stage of their festival. This also includes website and media coverage.

• Independence Rock Festival – all expenses paid trip to India to compete in the festival. Including return flights and Indian visa, accommodation, spending money of 3000 r a day, and the overall winner of IRock will win $30, 000 cash and $20, 000 in equipment.

Indie

• Who’s Jack magazine will award a prize to the winner of the Indie category of a front page feature and interview in the magazine, interview and photo shoot on Jack TV with a link back to the bands website and coverage of the band before the release of a single.

Pop Acoustic

• Sponsorship from Extreme brand with up to £1, 000 worth of clothing courtesy of Extreme State.

• Coverage in Acoustic Magazine, Guitar Magazine and other Oyster House Media Publications

Urban

• Flavour Magazine will award the winner of the Urban category a comprehensive package which includes coverage on the website, a double page feature in the magazine and TV interview

• Sponsorship from Extreme brand with up to £1, 000 worth of clothing courtesy of Extreme State.

 

Winners Showcase

• The winners in each category will also be invited to feature at the Live and Unsigned showcase! All major Record Labels will be invited including; Universal, One Little Indian, Sony, EMI, Warner and Beggars Group in a must play showcase opportunity in London.
