BEST UNSIGNED ACT 2012 - COCO AND THE BUTTERFIELDS CROWNED!

Coco and the Butterfields have been crowned as the best unsigned act 2012, winning the Live and Unsigned music competition at The O2 in London.

The best unsigned acts took to the stage at The O2 for the Live and Unsigned grand final and Coco and the Butterfields have been named as the best unsigned act 2012! Acts competed in the music competition in front of a sell-out crowd. Winners were announced at The O2 at the Live and Unsigned music competition National Grand Final and Coco and the Butterfields have announced as the best unsigned act 2012.

Acts took to the stage at Proud2 at The O2 in London in front of a packed out crowd and judging panel that included Radio 1Xtra’s Ras Kwame, Kerrang! Unsigned presenter Alex Baker, Kiss FM Breakfast Presenter Charlie Hedges, Matt Wilkinson who is one of the editors at NME, Mark Hill who was one half of Artful Dodger, Universal A&R man Solomon Penumuchi, Si Hulbert who produces for Ed Sheeran & One Direction, Total Rock presenter Holly Wright, Head of Future Music Chris Grayston, Bloudhound Gang drummer Adam Perry, Head of BGM Michael King, Dayal Patterson from Metal Hammer, Flavour Magazine’s Trina John-Charles, Matthew Parker from Music Radar, Stuart Slater from Slater Drum School and Ben Price who is Head of A&R at Future Music.

Acts battled it out live on stage for the title, congratulations to the winners Coco and the Butterfields and all who took part.

Coco and the Butterfields have been crowned winner of Live and Unsigned 2012 and the £10,000 cash prize that comes with it. They will also now embark on a 16 date festival tour taking in Cockermouth Rock Festival, Leopallooza, Stockton Weekender, Strawberry Fields Festival, Relentless Energy Boardmasters, Edinburgh Fringe, Glass Butter Beach, Just So Festival, Bingley Music Live, Brownstock, Sundown, Shrewsbury Fields Forever Festival, Deafbox Fest, Brisfest, London Summer Jam and Lancaster Music Festival.
