URBAN COCO MAGAZINE JUDGE – RYDAH STRAUGHN

Urban Coco Magazine judge Rydah Straughn has been involved in the UK music scene for the past five years since being heavily influenced by his brother, UK rapper Motley, who is signed to an Australian record label. As well as currently writing for online fashion and lifestyle magazine Urban Coco Magazine, Rydah Straughn has seen Volumes 1 and 2 of his CD ‘Dark From Day’ released in HMV stores, collectively selling over 2000 copies. Two of Rydah’s music videos ‘Dark From Day’ and ‘Just Bounce Remix’ have featured on Channel U, and he recently released a third music video featuring veteran of the Grime scene Flirta D, which aims to promote Rydah’s new T-Shirt line.

Rydah Straughn has collaborated with a number of artists including Hoodman, Scorcher, Flirta D, Slix, and has performed extensively across the UK, opening shows for Bashy, Tinchy Stryder, Chipmunk and Alizay.

As well as pursuing his passion for music, Rydah Straughn plays semi-professional rugby for Sheffield Eagles and is currently in his third year at Leeds Metropolitan University studying music, fashion and sports journalism.

Rydah Straughn continues to work on creating fresh music and new videos, and will now be putting his knowledge of the contemporary music scene to the test when he joins the Live and Unsigned judging panel!
