We Beat The System

We Beat The System are a Sunderland based five piece band who formed in October 2009. Their potential is clear to see, already tagged as the UK's 'Best Alternative Unsigned Act' in July 2010 at the Live and Unsigned Festival at the O2.

Since forming the band they have supported the likes of; The Automatic, Frankie and the Heartstrings, Chapel Club, Flashguns, Dutch Uncles and Wilder and also played Sunderland’s 2010 Split Festival alongside Maximo Park and The Futureheads.

Their sound has been described as Alternative/Post-Punk Revival, similar to bands such as Editors and White Lies, even being dubbed an early U2 in one critique. They are currently recording new material alongside Let’s Buy Happiness’ James Hall along with others.
