We Are The Ocean

We Are The Ocean performed at the Live and Unsigned tour in Portsmouth in April 2011.
The rock fivesome were special guests at the Portsmouth Guildhall and headlined the show, treating fans to a blast of rhythmic noise and melodic guitar.
We Are The Ocean consist of Tom Whittaker on Drums, Liam Cromby on Guitar, Jack Spence on Bass, Alfie Scully on Guitar and Dan Brown on vocals. the band have been together for four years and have proved that the persistence and exuberance of youth pays off, after Alfie was just 15 when he began with the band!
We Are The Ocean formed in 2007. At the tender ages of 18 Dan Brown and Liam Cromby joined Jack Spence, Tom Whittaker and 15 year old guitar hero Alfie Scully. In these four years the band have released an EP (which sold 2,000 copies in one day) and two full length albums; toured with Funeral For A Friend, You Me At Six, Thrice, Fightstar, The Used and Underoath and played Download Festival. And their guitarist is still only 19 years old!
“It kind of became our selling point,” remembers Dan. “We were this band with this great guitarist and he was only 15.”
We Are The Ocean's Portsmouth performance will be one to remember as the Rock fivesome will play a headlining slot to include a selection of their most catchy songs and rhythmic offerings from their latest album.
The album is due for release on April 25 via Hassle Records with four singles to be taken from it (due in February, April, June and in the autumn). The band are currently booking summer festivals which will follow a UK tour which runs from the end of April to the beginning of May. After this run the band will be heading out to the mainland to support Funeral For A Friend. Not only do We Are The Ocean have a head of steam like never before, they also have 10 of the strongest songs they’ve ever written under their arm. Go now and play!
