Uplifting Dance Rock hits Live and Unsigned

Sandfire Siren took to the stage on the Live and Unisgned Tour. The dance rock foursome performed as special guests at the Plymouth Guildhall, treating fans to some uplifting rock.

Sandfire Siren perform a punchy and atmospheric crossover of dance and rock. The band who site their influences as Muse, Pendulum, The Cranberries and Queen of the Stone Age, formed 18 months ago in Cornwall and consist of Damon (keyboards/vocal), Matt (guitar/vocals), Steve (drums) and Will (bass).

Starting out last year playing pubs and small venues to crowds of up to a hundred people the band soon built a strong following and reputation locally, which spurred them on to look for more ways to further their career.

Later on in 2010 they booked in to the famous Sawmills Recording Studio (Oasis, Muse, The Verve) to put some tracks down onto CD. The result was a 3-track promo called ‘Search’, which featured the songs ‘Space’, ‘On The Run’, and promo title ‘Search’.

After gaining live experience at a number of gigs in Newquay, Plymouth and Exeter the band played their biggest show to date at the Mini-fest at Perranporth Airfield as one of the supporting acts. A promising performance has lead to discussions of the band headlining this year’s festival.

A surge of success also saw the band winning their local and regional finals of the Live and Unsigned national battle of the bands, reaching the finals at the O2 Indigo London, performing a showcase at the London Water Rats and embarking on a small tour of Switzerland in 2011.
