Funeral For A Friend
FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND will play a DJ set at London’s biggest indoor festival, Live Fest which takes place on the 23rd July 2011 at The O2.
Post hardcore and emo rockers Funeral for a Friend formed in 2001 and have released five studio albums, from their 2003 debut ‘Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation’ which rode high in the UK Charts, to the band’s fifth release ‘Welcome Home Armageddon!’ in 2011.
Alongside their five albums, the band have sold considerably more than a million records, had four albums go into the top 20 in the UK Album Charts and graced countless magazine covers. Current line up consists of lead singer Matthew Davies-Kreye, Kris Coombs-Roberts and Gavin Burrough, both on guitar and backing vocals, Ryan Richards on drums and Richard Boucher on bass.
Funeral for a Friend have always had a dedicated following and in 2003 the band secured their first Kerrang! Award, winning ‘Best UK Newcomer’. The win was largely attributed to their fervent fan base, as the awards winner was decided by public vote on the Kerrang! website.
