Want to play at Cockermouth Rock Festival - an annual non profit three day 5000 capacity grass roots festival held in Cockermouth, Cumbria?

The festival was set up in 2005 to help provide support in the way of funding for two local causes, The Pride of Cumbria Air Ambulance and the Cockermouth Mountain Rescue, as well as to encourage and promote local bands and musicians.

Initially established as a rock festival, CockRock has since grown to include all genres and many established bands have graced the stages over the years including: Goldie Lookin Chain, Funeral For a Friend, The Bluetones, Dodgy, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, Gallows, King Blues, Sham 69, Scratch Perverts, The Holloways, Max Raptor, Kid British, Johnny Foreigner, Underground Heroes, The Lottery Winners, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Sound of Guns, Detroit Social Club, The Brute Chorus and Nucleus Roots.

Cumbria Festival

Cockermouth Rock Festival is the biggest Cumbria Festival and every year it receives thousands of requests from unsigned acts from around the region and across the UK applying to play at the festival, but spaces are always limited.

So for the 2012 festival, Cockrock is working in conjunction with the Live and Unsigned competition to find four acts to play at the renowned event. Acts will be chosen from the the live showcases to play a slot at Cockrock and the lucky winners will take to the stage in front of a crowd of thousands of music lovers.
