Apply online and, if successful, you will be invited to perform a live audition at some of the most prestigious venues throughout the UK. ‘enter now’

You’ll be auditioning for a place in the Live and Unsigned regional finals showcase which will be on the main stage at the best venue in your region. The regional final will also include a special guest performance and will feature the best unsigned acts from your region. You will be showcasing your music to Judges from National Radio, Kerrang, BBC Introducing, Regional Press & record labels as well as the general public. Auditions will be held in the following venues as follows;

Audition places are limited, so be quick not sorry! Registering well in advance will secure your audition and avoid disappointment. For an application to enter the competition go to the ‘enter now’ page now to secure your audition for 2011.

All audition dates above are for bands, groups and solo artists. On the day of the audition you will be asked to prepare a performance of up to 2 minutes and no longer (we recommend you keep instrumentals and intro to a minimum and perform the best part of your song at the start). It’s all about first impressions at auditions so ensure you take attention to your image and always put the best of your song in the intro for maximum impact! The auditions are closed to the public and will be in front of a professional judging panel. Hundreds of acts audition each day and are allocated times across the whole day to avoid unnecessary waiting around and congestion. If you intend to sing a cover, try and make it your own version as the competition is all about originality. Bands just need to bring drum sticks, guitars (including leads) and any other instruments as auditions will have drum kit, amplifiers and microphones already set up so you can just plug in and play. Solo acts can bring one instrument only or if they have their own original music they can bring a CD backing track otherwise solo acts will perform acapella. Please have it in mind to keep your set up as simple as possible to avoid eating into your audition time.
